When the Past Reappears - What Now?
As humans, we’re linear beings. We go through situations or experiences, good or unpleasant, and then the world tugs us along, encouraging us to keep putting one foot in front of the other, moving forward, onto the next. Time pushes us ahead. New things come into our lives. We move forward, forward, forward.
Sometimes, with this continual forward motion, we forget to truly process the past. We forget to look at an experience, to look at it fully, to feel what comes with it, to process the lessons or the impact it had on us. If an experience isn’t properly processed, we may see remnants of it reappear - and usually when we least expect it.
There’s no need to cringe in fear, my friend. It may feel terrible to think about reliving some aspects or experiences from your past, but I assure you, it’s coming back up for your greatest good, to release you from anything that doesn’t serve you, so you can truly move on from it.
I’ve experienced this recently. So have many of my clients. There is a lot that is re-emerging and rising to the surface, for a lot of people right now. Have you experienced this too? It can be confusing. Why now after all this time? What are the chances you would run into that long-lost childhood friend at the grocery store, the one you haven’t seen in decades, the one who doesn’t even live near you? What are the chances??
Well, the odds are not high you would run into them and yet there they are. Right in front of you. Similarly, there was nothing that triggered a memory from an old situation from years ago and yet there you are, dreaming of it, thinking of it, confused by its sudden reappearance in your mind.
So why is the past reappearing so intensely for many of us right now? I wish I had solid, concrete answers for you. But, what I do know is there’s a big release happening. We are being asked to let go of what is holding us back. We are being asked to purge the deep drawers of our beings, like the back of the closet type outfits we know we’ll never wear again as they take up precious space.
There are some things we are not meant to carry with us any longer. It’s time to look at these things, really stare them in the face and then Let. Them. Go. Can you feel the lightness that flows in as you think of that? The burden off your shoulders? Whatever is reappearing for you, sit with it (if you need a professional to explore it with you, book a session with me and I’ll hold the safe space for you) and then decide it’s okay to be done with it.
I can assure you, such beautiful things await you when you’ve cleared out the old and made space for the new.
We’re all evolving, at a faster rate now. And while we could push things to the back of the closet before, we cannot do that now. So embrace the surprise reappearances, tune-in to the messages there and know that you’re always being guided to all the best things.
Love and Light and Angelic Blessings,
Annmarie
