Ghost Stories Continued…

Ready for a few more ghostly tales?

As many of you know by now, energies find their way to me no matter where I am or what I’m doing. When I first stepped into my gifts, fully embracing them and learning how I could help others with my abilities, I would have ghosts upon ghosts, energies stuck on this earthly plane, coming in and out of my house, needing my attention at all hours of the day. Because I still had to operate as a functioning human, I knew I needed boundaries, I knew I couldn’t live with such constant disruptions. It wasn’t helping anyone if I was overwhelmed every second of the day, you know? I have now created ‘office hours’ so to speak, where there are certain times and places that energies can interact with me.

It’s all a reminder that you have the power and you CAN absolutely tell a spirit to leave if they are disrespecting you in any way.

Sometimes, they still find their way through to me, anyway. Often, I would sit down on the couch and notice as a ghost energy would sit down next to me. One time I was watching a cooking show and then all of the sudden I’m smelling food that was not even in my house. It was quite interesting! The energy beside me was helping me experience new recipes that they themselves had likely once loved.

Another time, a man would peek around the corner at me as I turned on the TV, just watching, wanting my attention. He would disappear every time I would move from my seat so I left him there until one day he didn’t return again.

Another time I was upstairs getting ready and when I came down the stairs to make lunches for my girls, there was a friendly ghost woman already in my kitchen, ready to help out with the task. I was curious as to why she was so eager to help but she just assured me that assisting with these lunches would bring her great satisfaction.

Another morning, not long after, I was doing my hair in the bathroom after my shower and a woman appeared behind me in the mirror. While that could startle anyone, this woman, who boasted a lovely accent from the Bronx, was quite pleasant and began assisting me with my hair. I had to find a way to tell her I was just fine doing it myself…

It can be hard to know how to react when you encounter ghost energy. Now they hardly ever enter my home because I don’t allow it. There came a time when the disruptions became too much. This was after one of my Halloween parties where they would cause quite the ruckus to rile people up. Think loud noises, crashes, lights flickering, things moving etc. - all things I was used to, but some of my friends were definitely not. My friends from my neighbourhood and friends from my inner circle would come to enjoy the occasion with me and some would leave scared. Others were not so scared, knowing what was really going on – but either way I knew I had to implement some boundaries for my own peace of mind. And I really never wanted anyone to feel fearful in my home.

It took some time to get these boundaries firmly in place with spirit. I still had encounters from time to time.

There was one experience that I think about often as it was the first time my family got a glimpse inside what it’s like to be me on the daily. We were watching a movie as a family, with the girls gathered with us along with our dog, Jessie. Now Jessie usually did this thing where she sits patiently with her paw in the air, ready for a treat. As we watched the movie, Jessie ran over to the other side of the room and proceeded to sit for her treat. We all looked over and I could clearly see the ghost standing there right next to our dog. Jessie looked up at the ghost, waiting, and my whole family looked over and witnessed this, knowing there was an energy there, interacting with her. While Jessie soon realized and ran back, avoiding that corner of the room from that day forward, it was the first time my family got to see this in real time, like a glimpse into my world.

There have been many other instances of ghost energy interacting with me but these are the most notable ones as I write to you today. A few takeaways from my experiences are to not let fear get the better of you (these were simply people who once lived and had families etc.), to create boundaries to protect your own peace of mind, and to be intentional on what kinds of energies you do want to interact with in the moments that you do. You can say no thank you to anything negative.

If you have any questions about these kinds of experiences, send me a message or book a session with me. If you have any of your own ghostly tales to share, I’d love to hear them in the comments!

Happy October!

Love, Light & Angelic Blessings,

Annmarie

Let Me Tell You a Ghost Story...

I’m starting off my Ghost Stories series by sharing a story I often tell my psychic mentorship clients since there are some key lessons present in this experience. It’s so interesting, isn’t it? How every ghostly experience arrives to teach us more about ourselves and the world we live in?

Let’s dive in!

This story begins on a property I was doing a clearing and protection for. While home clearings can be done remotely in a process where I connect into the energy of the space, in this instance I was drawn to the physical property. Whenever I do anything along these lines, I ensure I am grounded, connected and protected as you just never know what you’ll encounter on a property, I had done all of this before arriving yet the moment I stepped foot on the land–I just felt weird.

It didn’t take me long to realize that there was a young girl trapped there on the property. As I learned her story, I soon uncovered that her family’s belief systems were keeping her there. She had lived over two centuries ago as part of a pioneer group coming to this land, and was a very gifted seer. As you can imagine, living in the time period she did, these kinds of gifts were not openly embraced. In fact, they were dreaded and feared and this poor girl was told she was the work of the devil. Ugh. There I was, taking in this girl’s story, learning that her parents tried to ‘wash her gifts’ out of her. They tried to ‘kill the demon in her’ by making her drink poison, leaving her behind, alone on the land, which all ultimately ended in her demise. Her fear and confusion in her ghost form was overwhelming and I didn’t doubt that the people currently inhabiting this property felt her emotions as well. The poor thing was just so confused, thinking the worst of herself, utterly terrified.

And I was confused, due to the fact that I had every protection in place and this girl still found her way through to me and my energy. When I left the property, she had entered my energy. I was so sick. I won’t get into all the details of the physical affect she had on me, but it wasn’t pretty. Stepping out of the shower, trying to regain my composure, I saw her there, staring back at me through the steamy mirrored glass, gazing right at me with her wide, pleading eyes.

That look has stayed with me long after that moment. As unpleasant of an experience as it was to be energetically attached to this girl, I realized that she needed a safe host to help her leave the land she was stuck on. She needed me, someone she could trust to finally give her the help she so longed for. As I helped her cross over to finally find peace and understanding, I knew I had protected every inch of my body–except my feet when I walked onto that property that day. That is how she attached to me.

This now comes up as a lesson for me and my students. There can be no gaps left exposed when you’re doing this kind of work or when you’re in an area where you feel you need to protect yourself energetically.

While I’m so happy I was able to help this poor sweet girl, freeing her from such sadness and confusion, I am also mindful of my body, doing all I can to never fall ill from energy attachments if it can be avoided.

This story is steeped in tragedy for a girl that was horribly abused, dying before her time, in an era that did not understand her beautiful gifts. But she’s now at peace, the land is free of her pain and I learned a lesson I can pass down to all my sensitives here.

Ghosts can be alluring and exciting but they were once people and deserve the respect, compassion and understanding as you would give anyone else. There is always so much more to their story than we ever first imagine.

Stay tuned for my next instalment in my Ghost Stories series and as always, I’d love to hear your own experiences! Leave them in the comments below.

Happy October,

Annmarie
