The Perspective Shift You Need This Week
With so many thoughts and opinions and ideas floating around the online space, it’s hard to know which ones to listen to, which ones to truly integrate into your own life. While I always encourage you to take from my content what resonates with you, and leave the rest – this is one perspective shift I know will benefit you right now.
Read along and see if you agree.
We live in a fast-paced, go-go-go society, where caffeine fuels us and we’re rushing from one task to the next before we’re even fully awake. Sound familiar? If you’re sighing, knowing you’re not loving the hectic energy your lifestyle presents, consider this:
What if relaxing and disconnecting was the priority?
What if taking time for yourself was at the TOP of the to-do list and not shoved to the bottom when there aren’t any more hours left in the day?
What if you created space and time for yourself, planning that right into your day and made it just as important as everything else?
Imagine this. A morning where you could move slowly, intentionally, noticing nature out your window, noticing your own thoughts and feelings, noticing the calm that fills your body instead of the chaos?
Good right? So freaking good. I’m sitting here, gazing out into my backyard, at the fields before me, the sounds of the birds, the peacefulness that surrounds me and I can tell you, it can be that good. To pause and soak in the beauty all around you. Even if your window overlooks a busy city with no nature in sight, there is still beauty in that, there is always time to notice the little things.
Don’t get me wrong, we all have obligations, things we need to get done, places to be, tasks to accomplish. That is life. But maybe you are making the wrong things the priority? Maybe you’re giving too much of your precious time and attention to what truly doesn’t matter as much? This week, make yourself the priority. Create that time for yourself to just BE, to disconnect, to unwind, to breathe deeply. At the end of the day, your health and wellbeing ARE what matters most, because without them, you can’t truly live.
I encourage you to make this perspective shift this week. To make time for slow mornings, mindful reflection, gazing into nature, relaxing and unwinding, sipping your tea in an aura of peacefulness your priority. What do you think? You may just find that all the other areas of your life flow better too.
It’s amazing how it’s all interconnected. By taking care of you FIRST, you can show up better for everything else.
Sending so much love, light and angelic blessings your way,
Annmarie
