Are You Over Complicating Your Calling?

Whether you believe in past lives or not, there’s no denying that we are here on this earth right now to do certain things. Many of you likely have an understanding around what it is you’re here to do. It could be tied to your work or creative, intuitive pursuits, like being a teacher, a doctor, a healer or an artist. These callings often come in strong. There usually is a draw or a pull towards these different modalities, pathways or ways of being.

Does this sound familiar?

As a spiritual being, you can likely relate to the desire to understand your purpose here. You can likely resonate with the draw towards pathways that fit you best, that light you up. But what I want to talk about today is something I see quite often. It is the act of over complicating your calling. It’s when you spend too much energy ‘trying to figure it all out’ instead of just being.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t inquire and ask important questions as you grow and evolve. I’m not saying to do nothing. What I AM SAYING is to allow more grace and flow, to EASE the pressure when it comes to your calling.

When we get caught up in needing to know every single thing about our path here, we can actually block ourselves from true joy and overflowing abundance. Because we are meant to be in flow with life around us. We are meant to let opportunities feel natural, for pursuits to progress in divine timing – not to get stuck in needing all the answers.

I will admit – not all timelines are rosy and great here on earth. Whether it was a past lifetime or this one here, if it’s been filled with trial and hardship, it could be from a karmic debt, a balancing of the scales. And maybe there is an opportunity to notice the blessings you do have. Instead of constantly ruminating on why nothing is going right, why you can’t seem to get ahead, and whether you should ditch your calling and do something else entirely, perhaps it’s about shifting your focus onto the positive. If your work feels frustrating, maybe part of your calling is simply to be more present with your family. Once you direct your energy to finding joy in quality family time, I have a feeling work life will flow a lot better. See how a simple shift can truly create balance?

Consider:

How are your experiences preparing you for something greater and more fulfilling? Perhaps your circumstances are helping you plant roots so you can rise and bloom in the future? Maybe there’s a powerful lesson asking for you to notice it?

Maybe your calling is about spreading the vibration of love. It doesn’t always have to be some tense, pressure-filled thing.

My thoughts here today are all pointing to the fact that it’s okay to just be. Just be YOU. Do more of what makes you happy, notice the positive in your life, shift your perspective and choose simple - choose to flow with the current of where you’re being led. It doesn’t have to be more complicated than that. You don’t need to have all the answers, my friend, because the beauty of life lies in not having every single answer. And maybe it’s time to notice that beauty once again. For, once you’re in this place, a state of being and flowing and allowing life to be wondrous again, that’s when your true calling will always find its way to you.

There’s never any need to force something that was always meant for you. But first, you must let go, surrender to positivity and choose the paths that feel good to you. Your calling does not have to be some grand accomplishment - it could be just adding a little more light to places that need it.

If you would like additional guidance uncovering your purpose in a compassionate, love-filled way, book a reading with me. I’d love to explore it with you.

Love and light and angelic blessings,

Annmarie
